We are joined by who I consider the Queen of Privacy, Shannon aka LockDownYourLife around domestic abuse cycles and the harrowing but amazing work she does in this area.

Our 2nd episode was very hard hitting but important. Although we’ve never met in person, I have known of Shannon’s work for many years. Shannon aka LockDownYourLife is a private investigator, business consultant and online safety extraordinaire. She has helped countless people in her career from the kinds of abuse that Refuge helps to stop in the UK.

This was hard to hear so I cannot imagine what it was like to experience. I think if you watch one episode of this whole series, it should be this one.

We discuss the tactics used to charm, isolate, and then abuse. We also highlight that although often painted as ogres that have nothing in common to you, abusers are all colours, all religions (including atheists), all sexualities and often are very nice people that you know. It’s really chilling to think about that, but important. Especially in our current world of disinformation.
